4. Poet in Residence at Poet's Letter Magazine.
We are going to offer twelve poets the opportunity to become
our Poets in Residence at the Magazine for the duration of a month. This is a
position to support and promote new and emerging voices. Poets who have not had
a collection published can apply. Friends and colleagues could nominate the
poets if they want.
The Poet in Residence would have some his/her work published on the website with
their biography and photo. They can submit any new poems they they have written
during the Residency which will be published. Their works would still be on the
website after the Residency. The Poet in Residence would be given the
Opportunity to come and Perform at our Performances. The Poets in Residence
would be published in Poet's Letter Must Have Poetry Anthology which will be
published by end of 2006.

Poet's Letter Magazine in Print
Copy Deadline: 21st of the Month
Poet's Letter Magazine is
going into print and first print edition will be out on 1st of August 2006. So
there are more opportunities for authors and poets, reviewers and journalists to
write for us. The Magazine would cover areas: Poetry, Politics, Literature,
Philosophy, Books, Children's Literature, Book Reviews, Arts, Theatre and Music
with specific specialist areas of Poetry, Politics and Philosophy. These are the
regular sections for which submissions will be considered:

Poet's Letter Magazine welcomes submissions from writers and poets.
We publish writing on these areas: poetry, stories, novel excerpts, book
reviews, children's poetry, children's stories, literature for and by young
people, interviews, articles on literature, works in Philosophy, Psychology,
Sociology, Politics and Political Economy, Arts and Music and therefore
offer opportunities for a great range of poets, writers and authors.
We are interested about writing offer new ideas
that challenges existing ways of thinking, that aspires to offer new ways and
means of thinking, that refuses to accept a clichéd way of thinking and offers
challenging and stimulating perspectives in all areas mentioned, particularly
interested in writing to do with global warming, geo-politics and geological
reactions to commercialisation and globalisation, environment,
globalisation, market manipulation, third world, aids epidemic in Africa,
migrant and illegal immigrant workers around the world, modern slavery, the
United Nations, European Union, philosophical works that challenges and defies
to be put in a structured and tamed way of thinking and expressing the thoughts!
We are interested in the thinkers who are roaming around
growing up and spending sleepless nights at campuses around the globe to offer
us their perspectives on issues that they feel and think important not what the
market, the super powers and the institutionalised academia of the world think
or teach us to accept and practise as important.
We do not publish pornographic or erotic materials and therefore would be
grateful if people stop submitting this sort of work.
If
you are submitting for publication TPL must have permission to publish the works
and then to archive the works as part of a particular issue (later a poet or
author cannot request us to take the work out as any works published is part of
an issue and when archived cannot be taken out. Hence by virtue of submitting
the works we would assume that authors/poets give this permission to TPL to not
only publish but also archive the works.)
The Poet's Letter
chooses not to have any submissions guidelines! All we ask is that the quality
of writing is of a high standard! Whether one is new to the craft or established
does not make any difference to us!

Please submit two to three poems at a time. Other works, other than poetry,
please send in one piece at a time. If you would like to be the Featured Poet of
any month please send in about five poems first and we would contact you as soon
as we can.

you have a collection published and would like The Poet's Letter to consider
making it the Poetry Collection of the Month please do contact us.
If
you would like us to review your collection please send in your book and we will
try our best to review it.

We are looking to appoint 7 Book Reviewers: Poetry (2),
Children's Books (1), Novels and Stories (2), Non Fiction (2) to read and review
books for the Magazine. The Reviewer would keep the copies of the reviewed
books.

Marketing Executives
Poet's Letter Magazine is seeking to appoint some Marketing
Executives to work for the Magazine selling advertising to the users and
businesses. These positions do not offer any fixed salary but are based high on
commissions on the sales.
Experience in the industry, particularly in marketing and sales, are
desired but not essential. Training would be provided.
We are looking for confident, assertive, persuasive and self
reliant people who can both work on their own as well as in a team.

2. Performance Poetry Reviewers
We are to appoint up to 20 Reviewers who would attend poetry
performances and provide us with a fair and descent review of the performances.
Currently we would consider applications from London, Birmingham, Manchester,
Oxford, Cambridge, New Castle, Bristol, Cornwall, Cardiff, Swansea, Edinburgh,
Glasgow, Inverness, Belfast and Dublin. These position have no remuneration to
offer, although we hope that the organisers would offer their support by
