Philip Ruthen,
Malgorzata Kitowski, Luke Wright, Girija Emma Jane Shettar and Alan
Buckley have been
announced as Poets in Residence at the 2nd London Poetry Festival 2006.
The Residency will continue till end of this year. These poets are young,
talented and vibrant and we have every faith that they have a great deal
to offer to contemporary English Poetry. The second London Poetry Festival
2006 is taking place on 23rd of August at RADA.
3rd London Poetry Festival 2007 will take
place on 10, 11, 12 and 13th of August 2007 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and
Monday.)

The first ever London Poetry Books Festival to celebrate
the craft of poetry, poetry publications of all and every sorts and poetry
books is scheduled to take place next year at the first May weekend of: 4, 5
and 6 (Friday to Sunday) in London (a venue to be decided).
There will be lots of poetry and performance and enjoyment of
it at the same time allowing poetry publishers, both big, medium and small,
little presses, independent and self publishing as well as by poets who
published their books themselves. At the same time to include all the print and
online publications to take part.
There will be readings, displays, discussions, live
interviews of poets by other poets, book stalls and foods and music.
Specialist poetry bookshops including second hand bookshops
will be encouraged to join in.
